Stora Enso has been honoured with Biorenewable Deployment Consortium’s (BCD) 2020 Forest Products Innovation Award for the culture of innovation and leadership in the deployment of new sustainable bio-renewable processes directed toward achieving the full value of trees. The award was presented virtually on Thursday, 22 October, as part of a webcast presentation given by Stora Enso about its innovation progress to attending BDC members, guests, and media.
‘BDC is proud to honour Stora Enso with its 2020 Forest Products Innovation Award,’ said BDC president and co-founder Masood Akhtar. ‘Stora Enso is an excellent example of a company that has developed a culture in the deployment of bio-renewable processes that will add value to operations and make the company more viable for the future. This is the reason that Stora Enso refers to itself as the renewable materials company.’
