The Arboricultural Association is joining the ‘Big Give Earth Raise’ campaign to raise £5000 in just one week.
Every donation to the Championing Trees and Green Equity campaign will be doubled next week thanks to the Big Give’s match fund, making double the difference for the Arb Association.
Some communities have five times fewer trees than others and ensuring trees are established requires preparation, aftercare and resources. This campaign will help train volunteers, support communities and create national guidance to address this imbalance.

Support will empower those involved in planting and managing our urban trees with knowledge and resources. Trees improve lives, and practical solutions exist, so help us ensure every community benefits from trees… and double your impact.
Arb Ambassadors, a network of volunteer arborists, are already working in communities across the UK to promote tree care and awareness. By sharing knowledge, best practices and guidance, we aim to support more equitable access to the benefits of trees across the UK, reducing environmental disparities and fostering healthier, greener, and more inclusive neighbourhoods.
Your donation will make double the difference, with £10 funding free guides and £25 funds support and resources for volunteers.
Dr Emma Gilmartin, senior technical officer at the Arboricultural Association, said: ‘This year, we aim to raise £5000 through the Big Give Earth Raise, our first ever fundraising campaign – every online donation we receive will make double the difference for our Green Equity project. We hope everyone will join us in supporting this important work - together, we can make a real impact.’
Reaching the target will enable the association to increase events and training, the reach and engagement of our resources and guides, and the activities of volunteer Arb Ambassadors in their communities.
They will track distribution to 3000 members and local authorities, document case studies, and report outcomes regularly, highlighting increased awareness and progress toward green equity across the UK.
