An eco packaging tech brand has launched a ‘ready wrapped’ design function on its webshop in a bid to reduce paper and card waste this Christmas.
Packhelp has developed a series of festive packaging templates for e-commerce customers to buy for their Christmas mailers.
To minimise the carbon footprint left by excessive wrapping paper, Sellotape and unnecessary packing, the boxes are designed to be placed straight under the Christmas tree.

This means over the holiday period we can offer our users access to sustainable packaging options that are ‘Christmas ready’.
‘We know 78% of brand owners favour sustainable materials and we want our customers to feel good about their environmental footprint over the festive period, and to challenge the excessive and senseless waste of gifting.’
Research last week revealed this year’s Black Friday shopping event is set to be the biggest ever due to lockdowns and restrictions across Europe. However, each delivery will generate a surge in carbon dioxide emissions due to increased number of deliveries.
In the UK alone, consumers are estimated to use 227,000 miles of wrapping paper each year at Christmas time, with more than 83 km2 ending up in the bin.
As we head into the festive season, Packhelp is striving to reduce damaging waste and lessen its impact on the environment. Packhelp Christmas packaging uses paper made from pulp that is sourced from responsibly managed forests and mills, it is also fully compostable and plastic free.
The company only works with manufacturers that remove toxins and pollutants from the air used during the manufacturing process.
The ‘ready wrapped’ Christmas packaging is available online from now until the end of November, and can be simply customised for different sizes and purposes. Packhelp also produces ready wrapped packaging for alternative gifting holidays and projects.
