Flexible packaging specialist Parkside has reinforced its commitment to environmental responsibility by announcing a new partnership with wildlife conservation initiative Green the UK that will see 1000 trees planted across the UK.
The flexible packaging expert will provide valuable funding for Green the UK’s Climate Resilient Trees for Schools Project, delivered in partnership with the Royal Forestry Society (RFS). This will provide grants to RFS members to drive the planting of at least 1000 trees over the next year, helping to support the growth of woodlands and natural habitats throughout the country.

Paula Birch, managing director of Parkside, said: ‘This is another major demonstration of our commitment to sustainable values. As a UK company, we know how vital our great British woodland is, providing wildlife habitats, helping to offset carbon emissions, and providing renewable resources for paper products.
‘Each and every tree planted is a valuable investment in the future of our planet. I want to thank Green the UK and the RFS for partnering with us on the latest step of our sustainability journey.’
The move marks the latest step in Parkside’s ESG journey, with sustainability being a core pillar of its business strategy. Its day to day business operations reflect this commitment as it supports customers in transitioning to lightweight, compostable, recyclable, and recycled content flexible materials.
Green the UK was founded in 2021 to help businesses looking to support a wide range of wildlife and environmental projects across the country.
