Leading conservation consultancy, Biodiversify, has announced a strategic partnership with the Nature & Biodiversity Peer Group, responding to a growing shift in corporate priorities, where nature strategy is increasingly considered a business critical risk and opportunity.

The partnership combines Biodiversify's corporate conservation expertise with the Nature & Biodiversity Peer Group's global network of business leaders driving corporate action on nature, including multinationals such as GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), AstraZeneca, Decathlon, and Waitrose.

The two organisations aim to accelerate practical, scalable uptake of nature positive approaches across global value chains.

The Peer Group now connects more than 400 professionals from 243 companies, across diverse sectors including FMCG, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automotive, and food and beverage.

It hosts regular meetings and workshops that enable companies to share best practices and tools for implementing nature positive strategies across geographies, commodities and supply chains.

The group prioritises transparency and collective progress, with almost half of its members exchanging their data and lessons learned with peers.

The group is already driving measurable progress, with 60% of companies developing their nature strategies and 40% beginning implementation.

Priority themes emerging from sessions include building business cases for nature based solutions, standardising nature data and metrics, supplier engagement, traceability, and EU Deforestation Regulation readiness.

Commodity hotspots highlighted by members include paper and wood based materials, and agricultural inputs, with focus countries including the UK, USA, India, and China.

The partnership strengthens Biodiversify’s position as a strategic advisor and convening force in the global nature positive movement. The consultancy supports clients including Amazon, Tetra Pak, and Primark, all working to reduce their impact on nature and secure commercial resilience.

Recent high profile successes include guiding luxury goods brand Kering and sustainable construction pioneer Holcim to become two of the first major companies to adopt science based targets for nature.

Dr Samuel Sinclair, co-founder and director at Biodiversify, said: ‘The corporate landscape has fundamentally shifted. Companies are now understanding that nature related risks directly impact supply chains, impacting performance and investor confidence. As a result, corporate demand for credible nature expertise has reached an inflection point.

‘This partnership strengthens our ability to navigate this transition at scale, combining world class conservation science and expert guidance with collaborative peer learning.

‘The UK is emerging as a global hub for nature positive business leadership, and this alliance positions us at the forefront, as we prove that nature strategy drives resilience, innovation, and competitive advantage.’

Oliver Hurrey, founder of the Nature & Biodiversity Peer Group, said: ‘Biodiversify’s team shares the Nature & Biodiversity Peer Group’s commitment to drive meaningful change for nature through business collaboration. This partnership will significantly enhance our ability to support the growing community of professionals tasked with protecting and restoring biodiversity.

‘This is exactly what Nature & Biodiversity Peer Group’s members need as they navigate the complex landscape of nature positive strategies and emerging regulatory requirements.’

The peer group members are actively working with global frameworks including the Taskforce on Nature related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), Science Based Targets Network (SBTN) World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Business for Nature, and the Sustainable Procurement Pledge (SPP), with many preparing for EU Regulation on Deforestation free Products (EUDR) and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) compliance.

The next peer group meeting will be held in February 2026.
