Everflow launches multi-utility offering with commercial waste service
Everflow, one of the UK’s fastest growing water suppliers and the first to go carbon neutral, has announced the launch of a new waste management division, marking the first step in its expansion plan as a multi-utility service provider.
Following rapid growth in the business to business water market, which has seen the company grow its customer base by nearly 50% over the past 12 months to over 53,000 customers, Everflow is applying its technology and sustainability driven approach to the commercial waste management market.
Based in Stockton-on-Tees, the company is providing environmentally friendly waste management and disposal services, with a promise of transparent pricing, real time collection notifications and a digital first customer experience to businesses across the UK. With ambitions to expand rapidly, it aims to make waste management simpler, cheaper and more sustainable for businesses nationwide.
To spearhead the growth of the business and its multi-utility offering, Craig Dallison and Jim Garrett have been appointed to Everflow’s executive team as chief growth officer (CGO) and chief operating officer (COO) respectively.
Craig brings prior experience in the business to business’ utilities sector having held roles as director of marketing and IT and managing director at The Energy Check, responsible for the strategic direction and performance of the UK business in the business to business’ energy market. Craig offers local knowledge having held senior roles in north east businesses as well as global roles across a range of industries from aerospace and automotive, to construction and yachting. He will help the business scale its proposition, leading on the development and execution of its commercial vision, including product growth, and its marketing and sales strategy.
Jim joins from the energy sector, where he has a strong track record of building operations from the ground up for big name challenger brands, following roles as director of operations at Utilita and Dual Energy. He previously held the role of COO for domestic energy supplier Orbit Energy and was responsible for building and executing the end to end operational strategy for the business's long term growth aspirations. Jim will bring further experience in the utilities market having worked for a number of energy businesses including British Gas, SSE, Spark Energy, Maverick Energy and Valda Energy.
Josh Gill, CEO and founder of Everflow, commented: ‘Everflow remains committed to delivering on our vision to make all utilities more simple and sustainable. The launch of our waste service will support this aim and is the first step in our ambition to pursue a multi-utility approach to the business to business market. We are confident that offering services across multiple utilities will help SMEs to significantly cut down on their administrative demands while also securing cheaper bills. We are delighted to have Craig and Jim on board to help us realise this potential and further accelerate our growth plans.’
Craig Dallison said, ‘Companies must be free to focus on achieving growth; in particular, time poor SMEs. As a leading commercial utility supplier, at Everflow we have a responsibility to support our customers by simplifying their lives by developing more cost effective and efficient solutions. We know our tech and sustainability driven approach works and we want to share the benefits that brings beyond more than just the water bill. We have already started to see the potential in waste management. It is an exciting time to be joining Everflow at a time of rapid growth and new opportunities to disrupt markets that are crying out for innovation.’
Jim Garrett added, ‘It is incredibly rewarding to be joining Everflow during such an exciting period of growth. Our expansion into multi-utilities is an opportunity to optimise services for customers and make utilities more friendly to the planet. My background is in energy and telecoms. The operating markets are similar to water, so I can see the 10 year roadmap towards expansion, and the opportunities and challenges that exist within that. It is a new chapter for the business, and I look forward to working closely with the leadership team to realise our vision to make utilities simpler and more sustainable.’
