Believ to deliver ultra rapid charging hub in Evesham
Electric vehicle (EV) charge point operator (CPO) Believ has partnered with Bengeworth Property Investments Limited to provide convenient ultra rapid EV charging availability near Evesham in Worcestershire.
Located at a Tesco site off the A46, four ultra rapid charging bays will support drivers travelling along the route, as well as Tesco customers and local residents, making it easier to charge while shopping or stopping at the site. Ultra rapid charging has been chosen for the site to support shorter dwell times, giving drivers a faster, more convenient way to top up as part of their journey.
The chargers will be fully funded by Believ and will support Bengeworth Property Investments Limited’s climate goals – adding convenient charging in a location with strong en-route demand. All chargers will be designed to meet PAS 1899 requirements, the UK's specification standard for accessible public EV charging.
Andy Browne from Bengeworth Property Investments Limited says the business is pleased to be partnering with Believ: ‘The new installation will bring quick, convenient EV charging to visitors to the Tesco site and drivers travelling along the A46.
‘This partnership reflects our commitment to helping drivers switch to EVs and delivering infrastructure that contributes to our wider climate goals.’
Ben Johnson, senior surveyor at Believ, says it is encouraging to see businesses investing in ultra rapid charging for residents and drivers: ‘Drivers are already stopping here, so adding charging makes practical sense and requires no extra detour.
‘Working alongside Bengeworth Property Investments Limited, we will manage each stage of delivery and keep the project on track, making it easier for drivers to charge where they already stop.’
Delivery is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2027, with further details on construction and the site opening to be confirmed.
