Cumbrian company #ChimneySheep Ltd has been awarded with a #BBA Agrément Certificate at this year’s #Futurebuild Show in London. The credible certification has required years of rigorous product testing on the eco friendly chimney draught excluder and makes it the only chimney draught excluder on the market to have BBA approval.
The Chimney Sheep is a removable chimney #draughtexcluder made of felted Herdwick wool and blocks 94% of airflow, resulting in reduced energy waste. Being made of wool the product is naturally breathable, sustainable and environmentally friendly. With the BBA Agrément Certificate, The Chimney Sheep will now be recognised by building control, government departments, specifiers, and insurers as meeting the BBA's standards of quality, safety and reliability; providing them with reassurance of the product's fitness for purpose.
Seen throughout the world as a credible industry body and known to be independent, rigorous and trusted, the BBA certification is awarded only after a product has passed a series of comprehensive assessments. The Chimney Sheep has been through numerous laboratory tests, on-site evaluations, quality management checks and product inspections, over several years, passing all the assessments to gain the award.

Now awarded, a regular six monthly inspection by a BBA Management Systems Auditor is carried out to maintain the Chimney Sheep’s Certificate’s validity.
