Aquapak and Axil Integrated Services announce sustainability led waste management partnership

Aquapak, the Midlands based manufacturers of planet friendly, water soluble polymer technologies, has today announced a new total waste management partnership with Axil Integrated Services (Axil) to manage its recycling and production waste.

Aquapak helps businesses to reduce pollution by developing environmentally friendly material technologies. It produces water soluble polymers that are biodegradable, recyclable and environmentally safe. As experts in sustainable waste management, Axil will work closely with Aquapak to provide a total waste management solution.

The two companies share a commitment to positive environmental outcomes, and this partnership will put environmental sustainability and engineered solutions at the forefront of Aquapak’s production waste management.

Axil is working to make sure Aquapak minimises its CO2 output, production waste and costs, as well as creating bespoke CO2 reports that help to track and prevent the release of pollutants, ensuring that Aquapak meets its ambitious environmental targets. Axil will also improve and streamline Aquapak’s hazardous waste disposal processes, identifying new opportunities to manage its hazardous waste and create a cleaner and safer environment at its Birmingham site.

As the demand for environmentally sustainable material technologies grows, Aquapak is planning to open three more UK production lines, in addition to the two which are already running. The two companies will work in partnership, scaling waste management solutions as it grows, to ensure that its waste processes are as effective and sustainable as possible in years to come.

Jason Lang, commercial director at Axil Integrated Services, said: ‘We are excited to work with such an innovative sustainability led manufacturer on improving and managing its waste. By producing pioneering biodegradable materials, Aquapak develops planet friendly material technologies for businesses and consumers across the country, and providing an important link in the circular economy. We are proud to support this mission by reducing Aquapak’s own production waste and helping the team to hit their ambitious targets.’

Diane Tolley, health and safety environmental manager at Aquapak, said: ‘As producers of sustainable materials, we hold ourselves to the highest standards regarding our own waste and the environmental impact of our production processes. Axil is an expert in total and sustainable waste management, and we are grateful for the support of their team. Axil’s expertise and guidance will be invaluable as we work to slash emissions, efficiently manage waste, and minimise production costs across our site.’
